I built a multi-page form toggled through a switch case statement, that requires users to finish each page's form before continuing to the next page.
I specialize in modern responsive web development
with an accent on engaging and connecting people
I write projects in a variety of modern web technologies, including JavaScript / TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL (SQL), Python, Django, CSS, Sass, and MongoDB (NoSQL).
I've most recently been a software engineer at CommonLit, an ed tech company, where I built the full-stack of the featured text collections in their library used by millions of teachers. I was also one of the main contributors to their revamp of the student assessment experience.
Here is a selection of some of my recent solo projects
I built a multi-page form toggled through a switch case statement, that requires users to finish each page's form before continuing to the next page.
I anonymized user IDs in each message thread by mapping them to JavaScript key-value pairs, allowing distinguishing between interlocutors without revealing their identities
I implemented each segment of function as linked list node to provide a uniform, accessible model to access and display information from each clickable point on the graph

I'm a software engineer focused on web development technologies such as TypeScript / JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, MongoDB, Python, and PostgreSQL. I'm currently working on Compass, an SF Civic Tech Project based on Next.js and TypeScript to provide a tool for paraeducators to track the progress of students with disabilities.
I recently worked on a MERN stack app that facilitates anonymous sharing of emotions and statuses. I've also recently created an interactive JavaScript tutorial that teaches graphs to pre-calculus students using the Chart.js library and a randomly generated functions composed of linked list nodes.
My primary area of interest is building connections, whether it's between electrical signals and beautiful graphs, or between humans of different backgrounds. Being a former physics professor, my focus is on creating a user experience that is accessible, intuitive, and enjoyable, constructed atop a sophisticated mathematical codebase.
I thrive well in a team setting where I can bring my scientific expertise and technical communication to the fore, and where I can geek out about my love of foreign languages, vegetarian Indian food, community feelings, improv, biking as a lifestyle, and maps.
